Dear fellow entrepreneurs: When people can’t pay what you’re worth, don’t be so quick to reduce fees or offer a discount. Give them an opportunity to figure out how to actually pay that fee. If a few days go by before you hear back, don’t automatically reach out and offer to do the work for less.
When possible, people find budget for what or who they really want. You need the confidence to communicate the message and the patience to see it through.
I’m closing year two and entering year three as an entrepreneur and I would not steer you wrong. Know your worth and stand your ground.
